Sunday Catch Up

I took the day off Sunday so I created 2 pieces today. This one is a contribution from Tessa; lyrics from Phish-"Can't this wait 'till I'm old, can't I live while I'm young". My person is skydiving through life.

 

Beach

Tracy Gallipo is dreaming of the beach so I envisioned cool blue and floral warm toes in the sand.

Marshmallow run off

I had 2 ideas for the quote from Penny and her story; "My family around a bonfire toasting marshmallows on a summer evening and enjoying the night sky." It was late when I finished so I am posting now. Version one has the 3D marshmallow within the fire and the family in the background. I wanted it masked like memory so I poured wax over the image. The second image is the fire with a blue, night sky in profile and the family represented in toasted colors. Which one do you prefer?

Don't Behave

Liz LeBrun posted “Well-behaved women seldom make history.” Well, do you think I could get high heels out of my head? (For those who do not know, Liz has an amazing collection). Now the challenge was to make the heels and the quote work. So here is my confident woman, shaking off the dust of negativity and marching off the canvas to behave badly.

Phoenix Rising

I believe this came from my brother-in-law, Anthony. It was from anonymous. The quote

I did not want the overemphasis on the bird so I have it bursting from the hand that is rising from the ashes, the little spark that will grow.
