Spirit Marks Version 2
I loved the concept but hated what was happening so I started again. This began as a pastel drawing which I tore and pasted down to a board. I then went through my symbol books and started adding imagery to the wood. The symbols all have to do with rebirth, heaven, spirit, air, soul, and the afterlife. And yes, more paper birds.

Love the way the bird is flying away.
...and the way the face on right blurs.
i love the birds coming off the page, i love that alot of your work is not confined by the boundries of the canvas edge. and i really like that some of the birds have the same color and tone as the tan paper with the black drawings on it- so there is movement from the background to the forground
Really like birds direction too.
